Welcome to the Cecchetti Society Trust Newsletter

This month we are pleased to report on the success of our Trust event From Studio to Stage that took place in May at The Royal Ballet School and to share a link to a gallery of photos of a very special afternoon.

Supporting young dancers and teachers in their study of Cecchetti work is a priority of the Trust and there are still opportunities for students to audition for the Cecchetti Scholars and to apply for Student Summer Study Bursaries. Those studying for ISTD Cecchetti teaching qualifications are also invited to apply for a 2023 Teacher Study Bursary.

Trustees are delighted to inaugurate a new Study Bursary for teachers who are members of CSSA (Cecchetti Society of Southern Africa), studying and entering for their CSSA Cecchetti Fellowship or Diploma examination.

Cecchetti Scholars Auditions

Auditions for the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Scholars for the academic year 2023/24 are fast approaching on Saturday 17th June, so don’t miss the opportunity to apply! The scheme offers talented young dancers outstanding training and performance opportunities. It is funded by the Cecchetti Society Trust and organised by the Cecchetti Society Classical Ballet Faculty, ISTD. Teacher Study Bursaries 2023
Application by 20th June!

Funding is still available in the Trust’s 2023 allocation for Teacher Study Bursaries, so if you have planned Cecchetti study that will take place in 2023, either in the summer months, or up to the end of December 2023 and wish to apply, please click on the link below for further information and an application form. Applications must be returned to admin@cecchettisocietytrust.org by 20th June 2023.

Student Summer Study Bursaries 2023
Application by 9th July!

The Trust has been pleased to be able to support a number of young dancers who recently applied for a Bursary. Some funding is still available for summer 2023 and applications are welcome. Cecchetti students in the UK or internationally who are attending a Cecchetti summer school, or are studying with their own Cecchetti Teacher during the summer holidays may be eligible to apply. Full details about bursaries and application forms are available on the link below. Applications must be returned to admin@cecchettisocietytrust.org by 9th July 2023.

South African Teachers Study Bursary

The Trust is delighted to announce a new Study Bursary for teachers who are members of CSSA (Cecchetti Society of Southern Africa), studying and entering for their CSSA Cecchetti Fellowship or Diploma examination.

Applications for this inaugural bursary may include support for study at the appropriate level that has taken place since 1st January 2023 and/or will be taking place up to 31st December 2023. Further information and application forms will be available from the CSSA website https://cecchetti.co.za/ from 12th June 2023. Applications are to be returned to cecchetti@yebo.co.za no later than 17th July 2023.
